DLC/mini sequel announcement:
I thought that the events that transpired during The Summoner’s absence would be more impactful if the player could see/interact with them, so I decided to work on a DLC with a new MC (demon, for outside POV and fleshed out lore) and 2 new ROs (side characters from the base game). I’ll update you with more information later, but the DLC is already in the works.
Last but not least, I’m not great at speeches, so I’ll share the last page of the guide here for those who are interested:

I love your games, but in some countries it's just impossible to buy them on itch. Will this game be on Steam?

Gotta be honest, I paid extra for the guidebook and found it rather lacking. It would have been nice for a better breakdown on stat requirements for choices and endings. I got to the end and was able to reach ending 5, but had no idea on how to get ending 6 and the guidebook is rather useless with such information.
Sorry to hear that you found the Guide unhelpful. I never received information like that during the time I worked on the game/guide, and other players who left feedback seemed to unlock all the endings just fine.
If you re-read the beginning of page 65, it is explicitly said that if you avoided endings 1-5, you will be moved to epilogues. I thought it would be obvious that it means you reached ending 6, my apologies if that’s not the case.

Not really looking for a refund. I still enjoy the game. It's a great game. Just feel the guide could be improved with a little more info on how to get ending six. I think, from what I read here in comments, that its cause my Chaos magic was 1 point to low thanks to some combat points I accidently got?
I get what you mean now, and yes, I made the mistake of thinking that picking a specific stat and sticking to it throughout the game would be intuitive, but it doesn’t seem so. I’ll keep that in mind for both the DLC and future projects in general.
Nevertheless, I lowered the threshold of stat points needed and re-uploaded the game, now it should be much easier to pass the stat locks even without the guide, should be possible to unlock both, too. Hope that helps, but if it doesn't let me know and I'll make further adjustments. I'll also update the 65 page of the guide within the next hour, or so.
Thx. I don't think its intuition so much as without following the guide, one can easily pick an option that gives you stats in something else. My guy was all magic, but I believe it was cause I chose to grab a saber at the start. Cause...you know, in case someone gets close quarters so my mage can't mage. Never hurts to have a backup for such a situation. Yet that apparently is what ended my chances. And since I had no idea that one point would f me in the end...yeah... xD
Still, thank you. I think a little room for error of player choice is welcome.

First off, congrats on the release. I’ve been really enjoying the game so far. Even with the comedy in Chapter 3, the setting still remained very eerie and kept me on my toes. It really sold the concept of how betrayal can really come from anywhere. The relationship of all the characters (the LIs and the other side characters) with the Summoner makes me want to punch a pillow cuz djhakfhkfs
Endgame mild spoilers below:
Though, one problem is that I'm now deadlocked in Chapter 5 (at that *one* part), and I have no clue how to progress OTL. I doubt that the Summoner's role (courtier vs crown) locks one to a premature ending so it can only really be the stat combination, or some key choices earlier that I may have overlooked. Could I get a small hint on how to proceed past this point? I would really appreciate it.Typical, as soon as I wrote that, I immediately found out the answer HAHAHAAHA. You can ignore my previous question :’)
Anyway, I’ll come update my thoughts once I’ve finished the game!

What did you do to get around this point? I swear I've tried every combination and keep getting premature endings.
Ah, okay, for anyone else stuck: you have to go all in on magic or weapons. I had a single choice in weapons and the rest magic and that meant I couldnt hit the stat checks.
Yup, same exact mistake. I was a bit surprised about how stringent that stat check was (the one before that, at least, I could accept as a skill issue on my part). At least re-loading isn’t too hard though.
One more question though:
Did you go the courtier route or the crown route? I was replaying with the crown route, but then I got stuck on the first altruism/self-serving stat check (if you didn't bring Massie along) even though I was able to pass that point with the exact same stats when I had gone the courtier route. I thought that was a bit strange...It could be a variable/stat error. I will lower the checkpoints just in case and update the game later today.
Oh yes, I thought this approach would be clear with the stats given, but I could lower the checkpoints even further if it’s still difficult to pass?
